Doesn't matter if they get here first, love. They can't say it quite the way you can - not better, not worse, just not in that wonderful Orenthal way. (Like the drive-bye huggings that pepper my phone and bring smiles to my face regularly.)

Honestly, sometimes I don't know if the things I say reach anyone and it's nice to hear that they mean something.

that in many social situations like meeting a bunch of new soon to be in person friends not only are you hearing that voice but the people who you really like are thinking you couldn't possibly like them.

We would be kinder to ourselves if we knew that same negative tape was playing in the head of the person beside us.

You've got a very good point. It's easy to see, just from the comments here, that it isn't just me. It doesn't really quiet down the voice, but it does make it easier to deal with.

I know how hard it can be to overcome that horrible voice that sabotages self-esteem. FWIW, I don't think your voice is being honest with you. ;o)
