I impulse bought a house today. 4 bedrooms 2 stories!!! I don't know if it will go through or not, I made the offer and money seems to be lined up... HOLY SHIT... This is so cool.
It is cool congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of home ownership. Its much better than trying to save money in the bank all the equity rocks!!!! I am proud of you!!!!!
You should be more careful about your selection in homes if you mean it when you say it's an "impulse buy"... check out the neighborhood, find out about the local HOA, check the home's insulation, make sure the doors/windows seal completely (you're looking at a huge electricity bill if they don't, on a house that large especially), check electricity, look for mold growths in bathrooms and ventilation, and before you buy, demand that the owner fix anything you notice. Last but not least: CALL ME goddammit! :)
It's a brand new home. I'd be owner numero uno. My sister lives in the same neighboohood so I am pretty familar with it. I don't have a phone anymore, I will soon, but I had to change my number because of some terribly annoying "we're gonna kick your ass" type people. Drama. But as soon as I get a phone i'll hook you up with the #.
