For the first half of the decade, I tried to read pretty much All The Things that were fit to come out of Western Civilization from the earliest times until the death of Louis XIV. Is "The life and opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman" by Laurence Stern on your list? In the book, "Burr", supposedly this was the book Aaron Burr was reading at the time of his death. I started reading it and it is funny as all get out.

Oh, definitely. Some time in late Summer/early fall, I think.

It has the most elaborate curse I've ever seen in print. Among other jokes.
