For those of you who either don't read her journal, or simply haven't noticed yet, amehkins broke up with me.

I guess it's for the best, as it's never a good thing for a relationship to have one person unhappy.

Hopefully it's going to work out with us as best friends, which we sort of were before beginning the relationship.

C'est la vie, I guess.

As I look forward into this week, I find myself questioning why NYU requires student teachers to teach both Elementary and Secondary school (one per term). Other schools do not do this, and yet NYU does. Granted, maybe their forcing this will allow us to possibly take jobs we wouldn't otherwise, but I really don't think I'm gong to teach ( Read more... )

After a brief hiatus in Northampton, I have returned to New York City, where I will attempt to focus on my classes for this term. Terrifyingly, I have less than 10 weeks of classes left, before my supposed graduation. Why is it that when we all think life is running decently, that something has to really fuck it all up? Apparently, within the past 3 months the New York State Department of Education has decided, in its infinite wisdom to raise more money by now requiring Student Teachers to be fingerprinted.
