YAY!

I got a new job. And it's one I actually want!

I'll be working for the Oregon PERS as of Jan. 2. It's better pay, it's SO close to my house, it's work that uses my teaching background....

Just, YAY!

This TOTALLY makes up for the fact that we had to buy new doors. :)

yay! but what happened with the other place? not so good? i was thinking about checking out PERS...

do you have to apply through a website?

Other place is much, much, MUCH better than the old job. But I work Sat-Wed, which is hard; I'm in traffic for over an hour every day; and it's a call center. New job is about 4K a year more, it's NOT a call center, it's a gubmint job, it uses some of my teaching and possibly public speaking background...

You should check it out, definitely. I found the listing at the State of Oregon Jobs page -- search for Tigard, as that's the location.

The old doors warped, and they won't close. They're bungee-corded shut. VERY secure.

Heh, and for once I didn't have to be reminded. That's right, I dubbed like mad this weekend, so EIGHT eps of The Sam Show, including A Very Sammy Christmas, went into the mail, yesterday!

Btw, the commercials are mostly all there, because I realized that obsessive-compulsively trying to pause them out just leads to operator error mechanical glitches. Seriously! Either way, I expect to be right there on the phone with you when you watch your bf celebrate Xmas with my bf, mmmkay?
