It so nice to see them still communicating and learning from their previous mistakes. Kurt was actually a little more in control of his nervous than I though he be during the heats.

I think the key to Kurt's nerves is that at the end of the day it doesn't actually matter to Kurt how Blaine does. Win or lose he's still incredibly proud. He's mostly nervous because he knows that it matters to Blaine. And yes- communication is key. I really wanted to show in this final chapter that while they are still the same people that met last November and bonded over music and whatnot, they've changed so much and that they are not just talking but communicating this time around which was their downfall the first time. I wanted to show how far they've come but also remind people that despite the massive journey they've been on, they are still those same two boys that met on a staircase and feel in love at at coffee shop.
