Okay, so they have a right to be concerned. I'll concede that. But why mad?
It's just a tiny bald spot. I honestly didn't realize I was pulling out that much. Or that scalp could bleed.
I'm gonna have to wear a hat till July.
I want to go home. But I am home. That makes a shitload of sense, huh?

Something cute~ What does it look like? Is it a boy or a girl?
Are you doing okay, though? Was it because you were stressed, or did you just not notice yourself doing it? I don't mean to pester, but I do worry about you, and I'm always hoping you're doing okay.

I've pulled out my hair ever sense I was little. First on my head. Then my eyelashes. Then I had my eating problem. Then my eyebrows. Now I'm back to my hair and have a couple pissed, concerned parents and a bald spot the size of a quarter on my head to show for it.
...I'm no more stressed nowadays than usual. I think it's more a habit than a result of anything drastic.

That stinks. The only way I got around it when I was little (yes, I had a spot about the size of a silver dollar in third grade) was to concentrate on biting my nails. Really did nothing for removing anxiety, but at least it was a more socially acceptable habit.
I still find myself doing the hair pulling occasionally; you just have to try to pay attention and mentally shock yourself when you do notice.
Keep your chin up, kiddo. Any news about the TIP writing field study?
