Day 1 - Your fav song
Day 2 - Your fav movie
Day 3 - Your fav TV program
Day 4 - Your fav book

I don't have a favorite book so much as a favorite author: Erich Segal. Most well-known for the book and corresponding movie Love Story, which was his first novel as well as the first one I read (and enjoyed). However, it wasn't his best work (nor was it his worst). Acts of Faith and Doctors are tied for books I recommend to everyone.

A wonderful book about three friends: Deborah and Daniel are a brother and sister of Jewish descent and Tim is an 'orphan with living parents' who grows up Irish-Catholic. Deborah and Daniel's father is a prominent rabbi who assumes that his son will follow in his footsteps. Daniel breaks his father's heart when he decides not to become a rabbi and Deborah also breaks her father's heart when she decides to become one because it is expressly forbidden that a woman become a rabbi under Orthodox Judaism. Even more problems arise when Deborah and Tim, who is now working his way up the ladder of the Roman Catholic priesthood, fall in love.

Doctors (1988) deals with the Harvard medical class of 1962 with emphasis on the two main characters, Barney Livingston and Laura Castellano. They grew up next to each other and always aspired to be doctors, eventually ending up in medical school together. There they meet the other characters who also came to become doctors, viz., Bennett Landsman, Seth Lazarus, Hank Dwyer, Peter Wyman, Grete Anderson, and Lance Mortimer among others. Some of the other doctors mentioned in the novel who leave a strong impression on readers' minds are: Dr. Luis Castellano, Laura's father, Dean Courtney Holmes at Harvard, Andrew Himmerman, Marshall Jaffe, Paul Rhodes and Toivo Karvonen.
