Ideal workplace

While I gather pictures of siblings (it's coming! I swear!), let's have an informal poll.

Have you ever watched a show and during the work scenes said to yourself "I wanna work there!!" Maybe it's that you want to work with (or for) the main (and secondary) characters, but just in general, it looks like such an awesome place to work ( Read more... )

fandom: miscellaneous, poll

Very interesting question! I'd love to work at The Dragonfly Inn. Lorelai seems like an awesome boss, and I'd love to hang out with her, Sookie, and Michele. Also, the grounds are gorgeous.

I'd also like to work at Luke's, because, well, It's Luke's.

Another place I'd love to work is Seattle Grace Hospital, so I could be right there with all the gossip and scandal. And really good looking doctors.

I had a feeling you were going to come out with the Dragonfly. That's half of what inspired this post to begin with. I'd love to work there. Or maybe just visit - I wouldn't want it to lose its magic.

Good question! I'd like to be a writer for The Alan Brady Show (to work with Rob and the others) or the New York Ledger (to work for Wallace Benton). I'd like to write a weekly newspaper column that allows me to work from home and pays me enough to live in Manhattan and buy expensive clothes like Carrie Bradshaw.

I would love to work at Princeton-Plainview Hospital if I could have House's job so I could diagnose rare disorders all day long without actually having to talk to patients. I love trying to come up with diagnoses. The dealing with people part, no so much.

I'd also like to work at the Jeffersonian Institution, especially if I could have both of Bones's jobs (forensic anthropologist and best-selling author). Everyone there is super smart with interesting jobs, and they have a lot of fun.

I'd like to work for Vincent Chase as part of his entourage because the perks are amazing.

Wouldn't that be awesome? That was the first thing that came to my mind when I read your post. The others ones I had to think about. And if you only want to count one vote per person for your poll, that's the one that should be counted.

Does the TARDIS count? Is that working? I'd also like to work at the hospital from Green Wing, because that place is just nuts.

Man, I'm sorry. All of my answers to your recent TV shows have been about British shows, but that's pretty much the only thing I watch anymore.

Ooh! Ooh! And I also want to work at the Psych office. Hot guys, wacky hijinks. What could be better?

Oooh, I couldn't think of one, but Psych for the win!

A lot of places that would be interesting to work at, like CTU in 24, would be too dangerous for me.

That's okay. Most of my answers have been from '80s TV shows. At least yours are current.

Yes the Blue Moon office sounds like a fun place to work :) Unless the Bosses are really mad at each other LOL

Sports Night (the name of the show and also the name of the show-within-the-show and therefore the workplace). One of the things I love about the show is how much the characters love their jobs, how much fun they have together at work, how much pride they take in the product they produce, and what a cool dynamic the office has.

On the otherhand, it's really the love of work that I like best and I wouldn't necessarily feel that just by working there. Also, they're all workaholics, which I wouldn't want to be. But otherwise that's my pick for where I'd like to work.

ITA! That was going to be my answer, but then I scrolled down and saw your comment. So I'm just saying ditto.

Although if I worked there, I would definitely have to change certain people's minds about the importance of soccer as a sport!
