Good review! One of the downsides I have discovered is that I appear to have become addicted to book browsing. I don't think I've gone a single day in the two weeks I've had mine without downloading at least one book. Happily many are free.
ETA: I only just now discovered putting an m. in front of delicious.com sends you to a much easier mobile version. Probably everyone else on Earth already knew that.
I told a neighbor about getting the Kindle and she mentioned hearing a radio talk show where someone was just furious that she had to PAY for books! "There are free ones, but they're all OLD!"

No, this is the Kindle 2. Smaller screen than the DX. But honestly I haven't found the screen to be too small--one of the reasons I decided against the DX is that I couldn't have read it with my contacts out, since my focal length is less than the width of the screen. Which should tell you something about my eyesight.
