I profusely thanked our Cell Phone Man at least three times with wide smiles because the more my parents talked, the more I wanted to sink into a hole and become one with the floor. I'd never be so forward as to apologize (who knows how my father would take that), but I try to make it clear that I feel their pain :/
How could no one have noticed?! They are totally different from your old ones, in the awesomest of ways.
I really want to go to the Pike Place market, especially after reading "FISH!" for both a class last year and my building's RLS theme this year. It sounds (and looks!) like such a neat place to be.
Nobody else is noticing how crooked they are, not how AWESOME they are :D When I look in the mirror, I can see that the arms (?) are going in totally different directions, but I guess my hair is covering that. People have definitely noticed the glasses (woohoo!).
I could spend all day there. The upper level (the outdoor area) is mostly food things, but everything is displayed so prettily and the people there are crazy. We watched a street mucisian play guitar while hoola-hooping yesterday. There are a couple of levels underneath the main area that have crazy collectable shops and they are so fun to browse because they have the randomest things. One place sells pins from old presidential campaigns, for instance (I would've bought one had there been a candidate I loved).
Thank you! I hated my old glasses frames, so I am really pleased that I look alright in the new ones (I feared I was just going to always look bad in glasses).
And thank you^2! My goal in the next year is to work more on street photography.
You don't know me and I'm from Ohio, but I found you through roboticvampire's friends list, looked at your pictures, and felt warm and cozy because I just got back from Seattle and I tried the peppery jelly at Pike Place Market too.

Oooh, did you come out here to visit Ian, or do you just think that Seattle happens to be the most rockin' city this side of the Atlantic and decided to pop in?
The pepper jelly amuses me so much. I want to get some and put it in a regular jelly jar to surprise people ~cackles~

I'd like to see the look on someone's face when they bite into jellied toast given them by you
