My internals have ended but IG's start next week. I haven't written in a month and tell you what, it is utter torture. I decided to give myself a short break and this is what I wrote.
Did I tell you I've only read half of it? That was way back in September. I misplaced it and still haven't found it yet :)
Good thing I guess... I'm not deep enough to analyze the civilization vs savagery conflict behind the story... and without this interpretation the book is beyond boring... plus, I wasn't quite inclined to check out SparkNotes while reading, haha.
Yes, I'm living in Hong Kong now. Many people are just going with the flow, not really aware of what they are actually doing. It bugs me a lot.
There aren't many poetry slams around, and the most prestigious poetry-writing competition is called the Hong Kong Budding Poets. All entries have to be nominated by the school, and mine was rejected... I couldn't blame my teacher though, I wrote about a war refugee being raped (oh wait you can check it out here! http://adenosine-tp.livejournal.com/3839.html) maybe I'll try another one next year...
Wow, so you agree with hermsss! I know it'd sound weird to say this, but I think you two could be great friends. She's a great writer too, and your writing styles are very different. Just sayin' :)
I'll finish that book someday... I promise... there are too many books on my to-read list, and there's too little time!
