I've been a bit lame (or swamped, depending on your view of things, I suppose) and haven't posted anything of note lately. Unfortunately, my sleep depravation skills have come to the point that while I'm actually shaking from exhaustion, I'm still too wide awake to sleep, and so I've decided to post something that isn't an update on how I'm doing

But, yes the squeeing and holding hands, most excellent. :-)

However, seeing as the increased the amount of Ginny, I approve.

I had heard the ep was bad, but I quite liked it. I totally called the handwriting in the book at the beginning, though, so I wasn't completely surprised by the ending.
I didn't fully get why Lamn pulled off the whole charade at the end if he was just going to come back to Meg's house anyway...?
I agree with your thoughts on the season as a whole. I'm not enjoying this season as much as last season, but I'm still enjoying it.

Clearly, because Lamb needs to preserve his "I'm an asshole" quotient. ;P
I was spoiled for the MOTW, so it's not like I could have called anything. Though, on reflection, it totally makes sense. I do feel horrible for Meg though - such a sweet girl with such absolutely twisted parents. I wonder if she spent time in that closet thing, or if the parents only instituted this policy after Lizzie turned out to be a hoyden. (hee! I used hoyden!)
I'm spoiled for whether L/V shall exist or not, and I don't know if you are, so I resist the desire to inform you one way or another. I feel like it's OOC for Duncan to have slept with Kendall... not to mention the level of sloppy seconds is rather ew-enducing... but those boys have shared a lot already. ;P

That bugged me, too. I missed it if Crouch!Moody admitted it later. If you could tell someone was imperio'ed by lack of iris & pupils, the Ministry would not have had such a hard time telling who was under the curse during the first war. Crouch!Moody only said you could see tell-tale signs in their eyes if the person was fighting it.
Having the maze itself attack the champions was an okay shift, if only because having Harry wonder about why he's not getting attacked is boring visually. The Sphinx was a cool idea in the book, but didn't lend enough to the plot to be worth the effort to create the creature. (Plus, Harry answering a riddle & not getting attacked is difficult to make exciting compared to the rest.)

Not to mention, seeing Fudge in denial would have been key.
I do like the maze attacking. It was appropriately creepy for me, though I understand that it wasn't a supremely popular choice.

oh, I also heard that part of Fiennes over-use of movement was due to his fear that the huge amount of latex & CGI would hide part of his performance. The effect of the latex would be easy to gauge in pre-screening tests, but the CGI is more difficult to predict.
(sorry for the delay. LJ never emailed the reply)
