The Adelaide Effect... LJ Way

Everyone probably is well aware of the Adelaide Effect - essentially, the two degrees of separation we have amongst each other...

I usually explain it to non-Adelaideans thusly: When I meet someone new for the first time, it is almost guaranteed that we also know another third person in common who isn't the one involved in the introduction process.

Well, here's a way to work things out via LJ. Plug in your own username and someone else randomly from this community that you don't think you know, and see if there's some connection via your friends lists... I've found a few short (2-3 people) chains that seem completely unexpected. Especially so when there's *two* chains via completely different friends...
