Hmm. Fringe doesn't do missteps, right? Is it safe to just assume there's some bigger plan for the future that makes this latest episode not a complete waste of time? ( Spoilers )

Two things were incessantly bothering me about this episode - both Olivia and Walter look way too old. Also, wasn't Walter on the tape with Olivia after she scorched the room?

Anyway, I guess the takeway from this episode is that it's the combination of love and fear that drives Olivia's ability to cross over.

Yeah, I may be remembering wrong, but I thought Olivia was supposed to have been four or five when the trials went on. I get why the love/fear thing will be important but I'm not sure about dedicating a whole episode to it... Hmm.

I'm hoping these hugely obvious things they've overlooked will be explained or have a purpose, because I'm seriously nonplussed by Fringe right now.

INDEED. They've always been really good at continuity so this is kind of perplexing, but fingers crossed they know exactly what they're doing.
