"Yes, Seungwan-" Jongin laughs into the receiver as he receives the cup of coffee from the barista at the counter with a silent thanks, "-you have free reign to decide over the wedding. You know I have no qualms about your taste. Just, no pink. Please."
A smile decorates his face when he hears his fiancée laugh over the phone and agree to his request. "I love you, Seungwan. I'll see you tonight." He says, his heart feeling a lot lighter than it had been before he came on a coffee run, which is more like a temporary escape from the stress at work. He feels so in love and so happy that he's found happiness in Seungwan, after years of wallowing in despair over a failed relationship. In more ways than one, Seungwan has saved him, and Jongin honestly can't think of a more perfect woman to be married to. It makes him look forward to their wedding, which is three months down the line, even more.
Preoccupied with his daydreaming, Jongin accidentally bumps into someone on his way out. Mercifully, his grip on his cup of coffee is strong, which saves him the embarrassment of spilling his drink over the both of them. Just as he's about to apologise for his inattention, though, all it takes is for Jongin to look at the other person for his blood to completely freeze over.
This is not happening.

"I thought you moved back to Beijing for good." Jongin's voice is silent as he stares at the mug before him. He's supposed to be back at work, but there's something about the man's request to catch up over coffee that he simply can't refuse. Jongin has never been successful at refusing Luhan, anyway, so Jongin doesn't know why he's still surprised.
"There's a brilliant job offer. I couldn't say no." Seated across him, Luhan seems to never have aged, as though the last five years had never happened. His smile - God, his smile still renders Jongin breathless, and damn it, he was supposed to have moved on. "I thought you didn't like coffee."
Again, Jongin freezes. Coffee tastes like shit, he'd told Luhan in the past, but somewhere along the line, it's become a constant in his life. Coffee reminds him of Luhan's kisses in the mornings, those that never fails to coax him awake and leave a burning sensation in his stomach, and it had dulled the pain of Luhan's absence.
"People change," Jongin shrugs, and downs his drink in one go. He can't take this, the memory of how he'd suffered when Luhan had left. "I need to get back to work."
Luhan's fingers wrap around his wrist as he gets up to leave. "See you again some time?"
Jongin can't say no, not when Luhan's the one asking, not with that soft smile which reminds him of home.

Falling is supposed to hurt, especially when he's falling for someone who has hurt him in the past, but Jongin feels none of it as he gets swept away by the force of Luhan's words, his smiles, his caresses. It's frightening, how Luhan manages to assimilate himself back into Jongin's life as though he'd never left, and Jongin can't even find it in himself to stop his feelings from spiralling out of control. One meeting developed into many more over the weeks, many of which Jongin had initiated himself, and he simply can't pull himself out of it.
It's when Luhan's lips meets his in a fierce kiss that he finally realises that he's never really gotten over Luhan in the first place, and he presses back just as insistently, backing Luhan up against the wall of Jongin's apartment as his tongue licks its way into Luhan's mouth, the way he knows Luhan likes it, and damn if he hadn't missed the feeling of Luhan beneath him.
Being reacquainted with Luhan has never felt more perfect, when Jongin presses Luhan into the mattress and explores his body all over again. They fit seamlessly together, one giving and the other one taking, before the roles are reversed and Luhan's between his trembling legs, tongue flicking over Jongin's slit before he takes Jongin into his mouth and Jongin arches off the bed in pleasure. No one else knows Jongin's body more than Luhan does, and he reminds Jongin of that fact when he makes Jongin come faster than he has ever done in years, swallowing and accepting all of Jongin before letting Jongin taste himself in Luhan's mouth.
He should feel guilty, when he makes Luhan kneel on all fours on the bed Jongin shares with Seungwan, but lust and passion are dangerous entities that cloud his judgement, and soon Jongin finds himself making love to Luhan, the way things are supposed to be, before Luhan had packed his bags and walked out of Jongin's life.
So embroiled they are in the throes of passion, that Jongin doesn't even realise Seungwan's home early and standing at the entrance to their bedroom with a horrifed expression on her face to find her fiancé in bed with another man, until she speaks up shrilly, "Kim Jongin, how could you?!"
Jongin barely recovers from shock before he's hastily pulling his clothes on, starting after Seungwan to explain himself, even though he knows it's futile and it's all his fault, but then Luhan's fingers curl themselves around Jongin's wrist, the way they had on the day Luhan crashed into his life again, and stops him in his steps.
"Jongin," Luhan says, voice soft and compelling. "Stay?"
Jongin thinks about the wedding which is a week away, and the betrayal in Seungwan's eyes, and his shoulders sag in defeat, letting Luhan reel him in once again. The front door slams shut as the girl who was once his saviour from this man walks out of his life, and Luhan's kisses fill in that dead space to make him whole again.
