Hurricane Irene: Western Maine

Snapped, felled branches on green wet yard. House lights flicker on occasion. Mess of light green leaves on sharp deep green, newly painted back porch. Glass cracked on some glass windows.

how is your family doing with all that flooding in VT?

My family in Burlington, VT - Williston region has not been hit the way that the other towns in VT have. I am concerned, however about driving home. The few roads I can travel (from Bridgton, ME) to my parents' in VT are not looking travelable at the moment.

To Cece, my friend in VT, I wrote: I had my plans to leave [internship], but Irene had hers.

To boot, I'm supposed to fly out from BTV to Park City very soon.
