HELP!

Ok, so i'm some what new here at LJ and I can't seem to figure the LJ cut! It doesn't work for me for some odd reason.

I have looked at the FAQ and tried everything they've told me. The rich text way and the html way and when I preview the post it DOES NOT work at all! I'm so frustrated because basically everything here at LJ needs an LJ cut.
