But if you REALLY like him to this degree (even if it is a crush), maybe you should just flat out ask him... he could like guys too. Although, please think about it. It's kind of a sensitive subject. idk what this guy is like in RL but if he's a guy that's all, "Oh, I'm not gay!" and makes fun of you about it, then it could go bad.

One of my really good girlfriends is good friends wiht him and shes always wondered about him so so were both trying to find out.

Well, I've been thinking about this a bit on my spare time... and I think you should tell him. Even if it blows up your face, I still think it's important. You obviously really like him.
What you have to tell yourself is...you are not in THAT weird of a situation. Do not let the fact that you're gay keep you from expressing what you want to express. I am a straight female, but let me tell you; I still encounter situations, like this one, where I'm scared to tell someone I like them bc I fear their reaction. Doesn't matter if you're straight gay or bi; it is still scary & hard to do, So, def tell him. Get his number, PM him on facebook. Text him. Hint around, or be straight up. It's important. & if he isn't & gives you shit for it; fuck him: it will obviously be a lesson learned. But yeah, GL man.
Oh, and as for your dad: if you feel very strongly that he's going to be an ass about it, wait to till him after you turn 18 or are out of the house or something. You said your dad is a "douchebag" so... yeah. lol. Just wait.
