Tags
Well, two posts ago I thought I'd play with tags. I've since removed them after an insight about how they seem to work: as an or operation rather than as an and operation. That is to say, tagging with things which are only tangentially related is just silly. Yet, people seem to do it. There really needs to be an improvement on the system, so

IMO neither is quite the way to look at it. Search-results should be scored by the number of terms they match (possibly slightly weighted in descending order as specified) and then presented in sorted order. Ie, I certainly don't want to have to do 3 searches - one for both, then one for each of two terms *and* then have to unify the results in my head.

The problem isn't with the tagging, it's with the searching.
