[They killed them all. The crew of Serenity. She tried to warn them over and over, two by two hands of blue, told them that they could never escape, they would come until she was caught, and they did. She always knew they would, but she'd tried- she'd hoped. And eventually, they found her. Everyone fought for her, and everyone died. And they caught her. She's back with them. A lab rat all over again.

She wishes she was going to die here. She never will. She's going to be strapped in this chair until she breaks. They'll cut and stab and she'll scream and beg but they're never going to stop, not now. Not ever. She doesn't have anyone left to save her.

And what she's most scared of, as they come at her again with the needle, shove it through her forehead, through her brain- she's scared that she won't even remember Serenity when they're done. That she won't even remember Simon.]

[ The thing about having harrowed Hell is that it make even the highest security human facility seem like a big joke. At least where the security is concerned. After all, this is no joke. But even without his full power at his disposal, getting in was no great challenge. They weren't expecting angels, so there were no wards to keep angels out. [Everything was fine. Everything was going to be fine. They had saved him, after all. Shuten's death was really not necessary.]

Shuten! [Her eyes were lit with relief. The horror she once knew not even a year ago was no longer even a thing of the past. It was gone and over-with. Who knew what future awaited them now that this tarnish was wiped from the slate of the Troopers' histories?]

[But wait. The sky was still dark. Something wasn't right. In the distance, she saw a young girl, her eyes glowing, her mouth open in a silent scream, and dual swords slipping from her hands onto the ground below.]

KAYURA!! [Nasuti cried out, but she couldn't move. One by one, the bodies of each of the Troopers - Shuu, Shin, Touma, Seiji, Ryo--they each fell, lifeless thuds filling her ears. She couldn't hear her own voice crying out their names, only Arago's malicious laughter, and Kayura's scream of agony.]

"It's too late, Troopers! TOO LATE!"

[Nasuti rushed to the side of Ryo's lifeless body, trying to lift his head.] Please get up, Ryo...

[The creature that destroyed the Troopers laughs. Arago points it at Kayura, at Nasuti - but it shakes it's head. A blast of light fills the air; when it dissipates, there's nothing left but ashes.]

Didn't I tell you that all I desired is destruction? Fool...nothing matters. I'll end this world before I give it over to you.

Besides, your outfit was terrible.

[Kefka turns. He's the color of a bruise, and six mangled wings keep him in the air. No more clown outfit for him - just a red robe and drying blood clothes him. And he's grinning. He's enjoying this slow destruction.]

[And, now, he's heading for Kayura.]

[Nasuti's mouth gapes open, and she holds Ryo's body closer. Why, she didn't exactly know, but to think that she's protecting it, somehow...didn't make much sense.]

What are you doing?! [Nasuti cried out - what much more could she do? She was powerless. Shuten was alive, but the Troopers were gone, and for what? So they could all die anyway?]

[Another blast of energy. No more Kayura! Kefka giggles, a sound that grates on the air.]
