Self promotion = always fun
Hi potential friends!
This comm being spotlighted worked out quite handily for me. I've decided to set myself a goal of posting every day and to help me do that, I started a 30 days meme, so if you friend me, you'll probably learn anything (probably more than) you want to know about me. Today was my first day of that, so head on over to my journal for a pic and five interesting facts about me.
However, I didn't really give much of a stats intro in my journal, so I'll do that here. My name is Donna and I'm 22 years old. Just graduated from college last year and I'm working my first post-grad job in Shenzhen, China. I work at an international high school as a college counselor for US applications. In effect, I teach students how to fill out the common app, write effective essays, and build up their extracurriculars. I also tutor on the side in order to save up and pay for grad school. I plan to start school again in a year or two for bilingual education.
I'm a content singleton. I like going out to dance just as much as I enjoy staying home with a movie or a book. I'm open to new experiences and I love to travel. I used to be very active on Couchsurfing and hosted people from all over the world, some of whom I'm still friends with. One of my major goals in life is to go on a long globe-trotting trip all by myself.
As you might tell, I'm a bit of a rambler, I'll go on at length about subjects I'm interested in, and I love trivia. I watch way too much TV and I've lost 3 good cell phones in the last 6 months. Many things make me squee, and if you friend me, I'll be happy to friend you back and spam your flist!
