I absolutely love the way you write- it's as if I can read into your soul- no really, your personality.
Tea is my one true fuel to life.

I find many happy endings are horribly dull to write. Mind you, in some form I suppose I could create one.
Ahgush- I ramble.

I would love to offer critique and comments on various writing forms- +friends, yesyes?

which is helpful, on an adding community for writers; thank you!

nonsense: you opinion. and it is one i share: the majority of happy endings, i feel, make it dangerously simple to cheapen what came before.

yes, let us friends!

Heya. Name's Jerry. I'm looking for new friends who are interested in having input on each other's projects. Whether "input" is as serious as "editing" or as simple as reading something and telling me your gut reaction is up to you. I'm willing to put just as much energy into anyone else's projects, of course.

My main project right now I'm thinking of rather like group improv in theater - it's not "my world and my characters" so much as it is a world with some established characters, and it can be expanded upon and added to as much as anyone would like. I'm working with fleshing out fairy-tale archetypes (Prince Charming, The Disney Princess, The Evil Younger Brother, etc) as how they would be as full people, and how they would interact as a result. I like to call it "the morning after Happily Ever After."

Some samples if you're curious:
The Disney Princess meets Prince Charming. Also Chapter 1 of Book 1.
The Evil Younger Brother inherits the throne, and makes a political marriage. Approximately Chapter 3 of Book 2. Notably, nine ( ... )

have you ever seen the musical Into The Woods? it is basically that; a fantabulous deconstruction of fairy tales and bullshit tropes. so, yes, this is what is my interests.

by 'other improvisers' do you mean you are looking for participants in a sort of round robin type of thing?

i absolutely would love to input; your work sounds awesome!

I have not seen it, but I've heard good things about it. I'm all for seeing it when it next goes up in Chicago ( ... )

That's just one example, of course. Participation can turn out any way the new improviser wants to make it turn out. I have another good friend, Kirk, who is more of a writer but doesn't care to take on a full share of the project, although he will often read-over scenes and in his feedback, re-write a chunk of it whole-cloth. Not, like, a few words re-arranged, but actual substance of the dialogue and action changed to better serves what he perceives as the purpose of the scene. He doesn't care to be part of the design, but he is happy and willing to take a scene and say "okay, I see your premise and point with this scene. This part is confusing though. If you say this is what that character would have been thinking, then I think this whole part should go like: [changes several paragraphs ( ... )
