sixth adiml

Apr 01, 2009 13:30

This previously got deleted because I'm a silly girl who didn't review the rules before posting. So Sorry. Anyway, my name is Kayla. I'm nineteen years old and I live in the Illinois Valley. This is my sixth ADIML and I'm very happy to get to share it with all of you. This was a very important day for me because not only was it the day that I finally left for georgia to spend Spring Break with my sister and my nephew, it was also the day I confronted my biggest fear in thw whole world; flying.

44 pictures total, enjoy!

Rise and shine, it's a beautiful day!

I've mentioned in previous ADIML's that I have this irritating habit of waking up just minutes before my alarm clock goes off. Today is no different.

I'm greeted by Beebee on my way to the shower. She's very angry that I'm leaving her for nine whole days, she won't even look me in the eye.

Shower time!

I try to hurry getting my hair and make up done, I've got some re-packing to do and I don't know how long it will take me.

My outfit for the day. I wanted to be comfy.

I have to switch stuff around in my carry-on and check bags.

I can't forget my entertainment!

Excellent.

I've got time to spare before my ride is supposed to pick me up, so I check all my regular online stuff.

WHY is there nothing to eat!?

My boyfriend Kurt calls to wish me a good trip and remind me to let him know when I've arrived at all my destinations, which I later completely forget to do.
Don't worry about my perturbed expression. I pretty much always look like that.

I bid farewell to my baby degus.

I put my shoes on and wait for my ride to arrive. Beebee is still furious with me.

My ride is late. Awesome.

OH MY GOD WHERE THE EFF IS MY RIDE??

My ride (my friend nate and his brother Erik) finally arrives.

To Chicago!!!

I get bored along the way and entertain myself with my DS (Pokemon Diamond) (shut up).

We've arrived at Chicago Midway!
When we were getting closer to the airport, I accidentally looked up while looking out the window and saw a huuuuuuuuuge airplane taking off right over us. I pretty much peed myself from terror.

I've never been to an airport alone before, so Erik is kind enough to help me out.

I stealthily take a picture while I check my baggae and wait for my boarding pass.

My hand was shaking pretty bad when I took this, I was getting really nervous.

Security sucked pretty bad. I was told to expect that though.

I found my gate! Finding it wasn't hard at all but I was insanely proud of every meager accomplishment I made that day.

I grow a pair and take a picture of the plane I was about to board.

Boarding. I feel nauseous.

My window is right up next to the wing. Oh joy.

THEN THE PLANE BEGAN TO MOVE.
I didn't get any pictures of the actual take-off, I was far too busy concentrating on not being afraid. Fortunately I didn't have to try that hard because as it turns out, taking off wasn't very scary at all. It was actually pretty exhilirating! And I know how incredibly dorky I must sound right now but keep in mind that the last time I flew (six years ago) I had a panic attack upon take off.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

My plane arrives in Atlanta a bit late so I have to run to my next gate.

I have minutes to spare and I'm STARVING, so I grab some food at Starbucks.

Vioew from my next seat. Sorry about the blurredness, I didn't use a flash because I didn't want to disturb anyone onboard. And I also didn't wanna look like an idiot.

We take off. I entertain myself.

I arrive in Savannah after a short forty minute flight. I immediately call my sister, whom I find only minutes later. I'm sorry there's no pictures of us reuniting, we're far too busy sobbing and squealing and making a huge scene.

I give Arica hell for not bringing my nephew, Logan, with her to the airport.

I find my luggage after a short wait. I was just relieved it hand't gotten lost or stolen. Can you tell that I worry about everything?

Arica forgot where she'd parked in the huge parking garage. We have a grand old time finding the car.

We get to the house and I'm greeted by Arica's dog, Tank. I couldn't care less about the dog, I was far too excited to see my nephew.

Arica wakes him up for me so I can hold him and hug him and tell him how much I missed him. (The goergia humidity has declared war on my hair.) But it's been a long day and we're all very tired.

I unpack everything I need for my regular night routine and leave the rest of the unpacking for tomorrow.

Tank decides to snuggle up with me for the night.

.

Goodnight everyone, thanks for letting me share my day with you!

New friend are always welcome at my journal. Just leave me a comment there and I'll be more than happy to add you..
