Hello everyone, I'm Samantha, and this is my first ADIML post. 20 years old, living in Atlanta, Georgia. This is my Saturday, January 19th, 2008, a day filled with snow, movies, shopping, mashed potatoes, and ice cream. 61 photos, including repeated teaser.

Good morning world. Hangover+8:30am=ugh. But there are things to be done, and I can't go back to sleep anyway.

First smoke of the day. Love my fuzzy purple bathrobe. Oh, good morning boyfriend. Mwah. He's ultra-sex in the morning.

Good morning, internet.

Enough time-wasting, need to get ready. Shower, brush teeth, dress, make-up, blow-dry. I love that shirt, I just got it a few weeks ago in Texas. The pocket is ultra-cute.

Hair's not cooperating, so I pull it back. I look disgruntled because boyfriend's having troubles with trying to pay bills, and he's expecting me to know how to magically fix it. He bitches at the cable company for half an hour. I gently remind him I need to go to the bank before it closes at noon.

Finally out the door. Yay, it's snowing, a rarity in the south. I haven't seen snow in at least six years.

Hello bank.

After the bank, we go across the lot to Target. Boyfriend needs clothes.
He's super-paranoid and doesn't want his photo all over the web, so I pretend he's Christian Bale.
Whilst in the store, we remember we wanted to catch the matinée of Cloverfield, so we scoot our boodles out of there quick.

We hurry down 1-20 to get to 75/85 North, i.e. hell, to get to Atlantic Station. On the way, we give money to a bum standing on the off-ramp. The photo on the right is the view from the theatre. We didn't make it to the noon showing, so we get tickets for the 12:45. We decide we're hungry and go to Moe's, but their credit/debit machine's broken [we never carry more than $5], so we walk over to the California Pizza Kitchen. It was good, but not $15 a person good. At the end of the meal, I suddenly remember there's an ATM right around the corner, so we could've gone to hoMoe's. Crap. Sorry there's not many photos of the time here, but it was snowing cats and dogs, and I didn't want to hurt my camera.

I use the facilities at the theatre. It's pretty dead this time of day, perfect for movie-viewing.

Movie lets out, we're back in the car around 2:30. I thought it was really good, but boyfriend didn't like it so much. I'm giddy as a school girl about the snow [right], so we decided to drive through Oakland Cemetery so I can continue my delight.

Hello, Oakland. It's the oldest cemetery in Atlanta, and in my opinion, the prettiest. To the left, Six Feet Under, delicious seafood. To the right, a section of the Confederate soldiers' graves.

More Oakland. So pretty. I've always had a fascination with cemeteries, but not in a morbid/gothic way.

Kudos, boyfriend. He agrees to pose for me.
Quick back story: I took the exact same photo awhile back, but in the summer, so I thought it'd be neat to have a true winter version of the photo since it was snowing.

Finally get home, because my feet are still wet from trekking around Atlantic Station. Slip on my comfy socks and turn on the baby heater. Finn takes a nap on my jacket, and I watch THE FEUD!! Hello, Richard "I Don't Think So Tim" Karn.

Boyfriend wants the couch so he can nap, so I head over to the puter. Time check, and Cooper joins me. She's the cutest.

I play on Pogo for awhile; I'm addicted to Thousand Island Solitaire. And look, I got some false teeth! Boyfriend wakes up around six, and we look for houses together. We want to move so badly. Then we decide to go out again, and I watch pop-up video while we both get ready. Hello, 80s version of Kylie Minogue.

We head to Michaels to get me some cheap canvas for my collages. Boyfriend calls it the "menopausal ladies store" because of all the potpourri and general old-lady craft crap. Then across the lot to Office Depot to look at chairs and printers. Then over to Lindbergh to gawk and fawn over all the stuff we want to get at Best Buy. I despise those geek mobiles.

We don't want to go home yet, so we drive around a bit and spot a Baskin Robbins. I make the huge mistake of asking for two scoops of Reese cup [the ice cream doesn't do justice for my favorite candy ever.] Boyfriend helps me devour it. We're in a little shopping mall, and after ice cream, decide to walk down to Borders so I can get an application [job-hunting, anyone need an assistant?]. But they're closing early due to the weather [roads will be freezing over soon], so we decide to just go home. On the way, we have a small argument over whether or not to go to the grocery store, finally decide not to, and discuss the confines of race the rest of the way.

Finally home!

Potty time, still rocking the Tigger socks. I'm using the cat's bathroom, so they come in to inspect me and beg for water from the faucet.

The house smells funky, so I light a delicious candle. My lips have been chapped all day, and I can't find my Burt's Bees, so I settle on this not-so-bad alternative. Yum, spf.

More puter time while boyfriend watches the tube. Put on some jams and use PSP X2 to prepare some photos for my 365days project.

Check LJ and upload my photos. Hooray, less than 5 minutes and already have a comment :]

It's ten-ish, and I'm hungry, so I venture to the kitchen. Boil some water for tea first, and choose the Vanilla Chai.

Let the tea steep, and I decide on instant potatoes [trust me, there is nothing else to eat]. I actually poured too much milk getting this shot, so I poured the leftovers back in the jug. ps, the rice cooker sucks.

My hippo watches as I make potatoes. In case you can't see, it says "Watch those calories!" Kind of a "do as I say, not as I do" situation, huh, fatty?

Cooper comes in, wanting to help with/beg for the food. She'll eat anything, so I end up giving her a little smidge of potatoes when they're done.

Proof there isn't anything to eat, that's all of boyfriend's food, except for the cereal.

Done boiling, so I pour the potato mix in.

Cooper helps me look for something to add flavor to the potatoes.

I find nothing, so I just add salt and pepper and mix it up. Voila!

I sit down with boyfriend to drink my tea and eat potatoes. We catch the rerun of this week's Soup. I laughed so hard at this clip from the Girl's Next Door, especially when Joel said, "Hello Kitty's barfing up a dog." I love you, Joel McHale.

Finish my food and have smoke.

Watch mindless TV. Bachelor Party Vegas is on. It's got that Kumar guy, Turk from Scrubs, and boobies, so I watch.

It's late, and I'm bored with the movie, so bedtime! Fake sleeping picture, btw, I didn't get to sleep till about 1am. Good night!

Hope you guys enjoyed my day, because I did. New friends are always welcome :]
