Actually, though I have dealt with a large number of such appalling encounters, that would never occur to Jay because he thinks I'm icky.

This post is really just an observation, meant to show that social rules need not be based on demographics, not a rebuke of any kind. I like rule sets, especially simple, universal ones that are easy to remember and follow. I develop them primarily for my own use.
