My remaining fish is ill. Halfway during the evening he started floating on one side - when I poke him, he still swims straight, but he can't 'sit' up anymore. He also has little black spots on his lips and one of his finds. He's two years old, so it's possible he's just... fading. But there's been an inordinate amount of calcium in the water

:( It's too bad those creatures have a rather short life-span. I hope he'll manage to live a while longer.
You don't want to get a new pet? I've been thinking about getting a little water turtle. Solitairy creatures, don't need that much attention like for instance a dog.
But, it still sucks that 'Blub II' isn't doing too great.

Still not dead, but looking terrible now. And no, I really don't want another pet. Loosing these two was already breaking my heart.
