This is my first attempt at organizing such a thing, so I hope people will poke me if I did anything silly.
There needs to be more prompts. I have a three-day weekend coming up and want something to write! Although I intend to return to the Hummingbird verse, I need at least a month-long break, I think.
I only have so much love to give, you'll leave me with nothing!
I've never organised such a thing through AO3, it looks great. I can't see anything immediately wrong or silly, but if we do, we'll let you know. Well done!
I haven't checked out all the prompts yet, I'm worried I'll get distracted from my commitment to finish all my other outstanding fics over the next couple of months. But I can't resist prompts. Short commitment, great fun! I'm still working my way through all Adam Bang stories and posts on this comm over the last few months. I fell off the map for a while there.
I think time away from your 'verse is a good idea to refresh your mind and come back with some new ideas. In the meantime... mm, prompts.
Okay, one thing I did find is that there's the option to tag 'relationships', but not 'characters' (relationships are generally used to mean non-platonic). So, if I wanted to tag who's involved in a prompt or fill without it being a relationship, I can't do that. Therefore, it will never appear in the general news feed for the fandom ETA: if searching by character.
Is this another field that can be added to the prompt form.
Ah - I've loved Adam since I wrote an AU fic about him and Sam and haven't been able to find more fics with Adam in since. I've found this community and would love to fill a prompt but I don't have an AO3 account and am really not that familiar with it. What kind of code do I need?
The AO3 archive has to limit the number of new accounts created per day (I think they're at about 300/day right now) in order make sure their servers can handle the influx. They send out invite codes to people waiting in the queue (and to challenge moderators needing invites for participants). You give my your email; I send you the invite code, which will basically be an email with a link to the page where you can create your account and do all the fun things. Does that answer your question?
If you want to participate, leave your email (or PM me your email) and I'll get you the code. I'll gladly walk you through any questions you may have beyond that. ♥
