This explanation for Bill's hasty retreat was totally not what I was expecting! *phew* We really thought this chapter was so obvious that it would feel like a 'filler'.

I love Laura's exchange with Mrs La Cruz...chortle... Poor Mrs La Cruz had no idea who she was dealing with. I think she got off lightly in the end.

And I love that Jake already loves her too.. :-D Yes, that's a very important plot point!

Yes she's panicking..yes she's looking for half hearted excuses..but clearly she isn't someone who is unable to say no to a marriage proposal. She would say no to this if she didn't want it. HA! Bugs and I were just discussing this. I was saying that once Bill finds out about these other proposals he should know she's in lurve. LOL
