Laura Adams camping out in a field tent! I love it! The descriptions of the chicken farm are fantastic. I want them to hang out there some more. Speaking of which...that last line is evil!

I visited one of the California missions once, off the beaten tourist track, and it was so peaceful and quiet, as though just holding in time. I wanted to describe that sort of place. :-)

I want them to hang out there some more.

This was great-Laura feels like I do about camping! Such wonderful detail, and pretty, pretty heat :-) I love the idea that Bill would be cherishing his books after years, and how sad that Carolanne's distaste made him put away art that he loved.
And the Jafees, junior and senior, were awesome :-)

Oh gods, you're right, we totally Mary-sued that up! We both live in camping sorts of places and despise it!

We're been carrying along this idea of Bill's treasures in a barn for a couple stories now and decided we needed to see it!

We adore the Jaffees. :D I don't watch DA, but I sense aussie may be slipping a bit of that butler in there!
