My cat took a year before she would even lie on my lap after I adopted her, and she's never really gotten the hang of it. So she wants to be sure she's secure, which does involved full claws out, holding her in place.

And she does always seem to want to do this when I've got a roll going on the smut writing, yes.

I was so excited to see another chapter was posted and yet instantly depressed by The Final Chapter title. Great tie in with the previous storyline. Loved seeing how their marriage is evolving in each chapter. I am sure you both are exhausted with writing these last two stories, but I really hope you continue this AU! Pretty please!

It was a lot more difficult than we thought it would be to write a prequel. There was so much we had established as truth in Unbreakable and so many zillion times we had to check what we said in that fic! LOL

We will continue, for sure, that's why we started the new comm, but we're just having the tiniest break.

OH NOES! How can you end it here?! That phone call is clearly Bad News for our heroes, but I don't have the faintest idea what it's about! I don't think it's a precursor to the events of Unbreakable... so what is it? D:

Mentions of Lee make me anxious, too. I'd kind of forgotten about him. (But it seems that his father did as well, heh!) I imagine he's going to be Deeply Wounded when he gets the news, because that's Lee's default setting. I suppose it's only fair, though; Bill's really been through the wringer, what with all the press and the attorneys and the bankers. So perhaps it's Laura's turn to be confronted with something unpleasant? :-D

But I did love that champagne simile. HA! :-D

The phone call was just a teaser, but, true, we do have a plan! And we were stressed on how to end the entire fic. There was no clear set 'the mystery's been solved' as in UB, so hopefully this worked for you.

We tossed up bringing Lee and Kara into the fic in UB actually, but there was a unanimous vote not to bother. *snort* I'm afraid I can't tell you anymore!

We actually said in Unbreakable that she had changed her will, but actually showing her doing it was trickier than expected! We knew Bill wouldn't just accept such a thing without a bit of a grumble. And we all know grumpy!Bill is a real turn on, so desk sex had to happen! LOL

I find a disturbing darkness in your canon quotes, ladies. Laura saying "and then you die" just as Bill is climaxing? "Do it"? (Let's hope that's not a regret she'll have to keep in her pocket for years.)

But the Bill vs. Zarek showdown: Ah, Bill, you're more than just a pretty face, aren't you? And Laura, with her urges that not all the servant coddling in the world could save her from. Elosha, just be quiet and be glad she ended up with that illusive combo of what she wants and what's good for her.

Well Bugs tells me that orgasm is French for little death...We actually hoped that we were turning the dark quote on its head. Instead of foreshadowing death, foreshadowing more secksy times to come!

I don't think I could write a fic where Zarek and Bill are not at odds. They will always be enemies. And I'm sure Elosha will learn one day just how lucky Laura was to have found Bill.
