I have been reading so much fanfiction lately ( in a completely, i-have-better-things-in-my-life-to-do sort of way )..... and most of it, is this heavy stuff - war/ evil plots/ ginny manipulations/ clueless harry - too much angst..... Though i enjoy all of it, but sometimes it gets too much.... and your stories are polar opposite of them... it is such a refreshing change... has this wonderful, sweet, innocent first love feel to it.....

And I totally agree. I read far too much fanfiction too. I'm always surfing through Portkey to find new and good stuff and there's a lot out there (and a whole lot more that isn't). I agree, most of it's scary!Ginny or angst or horcrux!trio and while there're some stories ("All Roads Lead Back," "Fixing Harry," "Forever Knight," anything by Goldy) that I'll drop whatever I'm doing to read, there's very few good light hearted "cute" stuff that doesn't border on sap (like kyc639's stuff). Knowing that and knowing I'm absolute crap at angst, I thought I'd try to help fill in that little hole for people who do love the angst or the plots, but just feel like giving their brains a rest for a moment for some fanfic McDonalds (to paraphrase Stephen King). :)

LOL I know what you mean. I'd start laughing at something I'm reading and my mom always wants to know what I'm laughing at and I can't say because a) it wouldn't be as funny and b) I don't want her to know about my fic fetish. I'm not ashamed by any means, but it's my mom. :P
