For the past few years around my birthday (June 29), I have hosted AdamCon, a gaming bash at my house. This year, I'm planning AdamCon for two days -- Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29. Anyone who isn't a complete psycho can come. Yes, you (unless you're a complete psycho)... you are invited. Even if we have never met. All you have to do is let me know you want to attend and I'll give you my address and directions to my house, which you could probably get off the net anyway.
I will be running some D&D 4E, some kind of pervy hippy story game, plus probably one of my own game designs like Verge. Other people will be running other things. There will be fun. We have three, maybe even four, areas suitable for gaming -- more if people want to use the patio table outside in the hot, hot sun (maybe I'll set up our pavillion tent over the table). The fun starts Saturday at noon, maybe even Friday night. There's crash space for 8 people on real sleeping surfaces (a double-sized bed, two double-sized futons, two regular couches) and lots of floor space. There are usually three gaming slots on Saturday, one or two on Sunday, and one-ish on Friday night.
We play role-playing games, beer & pretzel games like Munchkin, board and strategy games like Carcassonne, card games like Magic, and occasionally Wii or PS2 games.
Oh, yeah. I live in Owings Mills, Maryland. That's northwest off the Baltimore Beltway (695). It's about 20 minutes from Baltimore, 90 minutes from Philly, 3-4 hours from NYC, 45 minutes from Laurel, an hour from Bethesda or Annapolis, 75 minutes from DC, 90 minutes from Alexandria or most points in Northern Virginia (Chantilly, etc.). Not including bad rush hour traffic. I-95 and 695 can suck in rush hour.
Dates are tentative right now. If the dates stand, are you coming?
