Paul Czege (author of one of my favorite games, My Life with Master), did some manually tallying of the reviews that were posted. My game, Architects of Aztlan, looks like it's in the finals (top six overall). In fact, it looks to be tied with drivingblind's game Chimaera (based on my sheet!) for 2nd place overall (25/30 points)! Aztlan also tied Something Is ( Read more... )

Second, eighth, and fifth place, as tallied, for Chimaera. I expect that Architects and Chimaera will definitely get into the final slugfest, should Kevin get us around to the last sprint.

I'm glad Paul posted that because I was starting to get really annoyed with the whole process. I think Kevin bit off more than he could chew. =)

I love Kevin as an idea guy, and he did what he could with an unexpectedly popular contest. But in terms of actually organizing it, it needed more planning up-front. That said, I recognize that this is the FIRST contest he's run, and if I ever run a contest, I'm going to examine it for both its successes and failings to make sure I dodge as much as I can of the latter.
