So apparently I'm a real working adult now. ::scratches head:: Well, not so sure about the adult part. Oooooh, that's a good one. You get a drabble, too. At various points while I was writing this I was convinced the speaker was either Jack, Ten, Sherlock, or John. It seemed like each of them had something to contribute to it. I'll leave it up to you to decide whose voice you hear in the final result.
They say that misery loves company, that like begets like. Yet it’s opposites that attract.
You’re not sure that’s fair, because what did the happy person do to deserve the miserable person raining on his parade? Especially when you know he’s only happy because he’s stronger than you, not because there’s any less misery in his life.
It isn’t fair to ask him to take on yours as well. You know he’ll say yes. He’s that good a person.
But is it really so wrong, if you’re going through hell, to wish that an angel was keeping pace beside you?

Case in point: they understand what the litter box is for, thank heaven, but they've never really grasped the concept of burying their poop. They just scratch at the walls of the box instead.
It's not stupidity, they're quite brilliant at playing fetch and learning to come when I call/whistle. They're just... a bit special. And I love 'em. :-)
