I've been wondering where you've been lately. Sorry to hear you've not been having a good time of it :( I've been there, done that with the one-way trips to the vet, and they're always incredibly tough, no matter how prepared you think you are.

As for the scholarship, what a bummer! I hope it gets sorted out; I know how happy you were when you got it in the first place. Here's hoping for good news!

::hugs back:: Thanks. It's weird not having a cat in the house. I've been trying to convince the rest of my family to start fostering. We'll see how that goes, I guess.

The outcome for the degree was good news in the end. After all of that they decided the original degree was fine! I've had my first couple of classes this week and things seem okay so far. There's still a bit of paperwork to sort out. Of course, once that's done there will just be coursework to replace it. But that's what I signed up for.

I did get your IM, by the way, just some time later that night. I've been using Trillian as an email notification system so I've had it up but not been paying attention to anything but the email alerts. Thanks for thinking of me, though. It's comforting to know that fandom and everyone in it will still be there when I'm ready to come back. :-)

Thank you for the finger crossing. It seems to have helped... they decided that my original degree program was acceptable. I just have some paperwork left to straighten out now.

Oh, no! I've no intention of giving up. I truly love the story and I need fannish things to work on when reality gets too annoying. It just may be slower in coming than you deserve, so thank you for being patient with me and my interfering RL drama. :-)

Not the best of times at all. It was a rough few days on top of a rough few weeks. But at least things have straightened out somewhat with the degree program, so things are looking up now. :-)
