Wow it's cold there. We've been down in the teens at night but nothing like that!

The cats are hilarious... a friend of mine used to have one of those timed feeders and they'd be waiting for it like half an hour before like it was a Black Friday sale or something.

Yeah. I blame Canada, since that's usually where our truly freezing weather comes from. ;)

That's a very cool carriage. I'd love to learn to drive a horse or team...but not sure how people really train for that or perform it. I've always been enamored at the draft teams at horse shows and exhibitions. There was a terrible wreck on the interstate here in MN a couple months ago, involving a large hauling trailer of a team of Belgians. Three of the horses had to be put down and it made me cry for a day. Just because it was so tragic and people on the roads need to stop being assholes. Not sure how it occurred but was undoubtably someone cutting them off. Just makes me mad.

My cat is the *worst* at announcing FEED ME at almost dinner and breakfast time. I'm not sure which timing is worse - waking me from my slumber or riling up the dogs at dinner so that they break my eardrums with barking. lol

How horrible about the accident. Yes, people are assholes, and don't have any respect for animals in a trailer.

It's fun to watch good teams work. And the competition where they go cross country is nuts. lol

I have a cousin in Ohio (a couple actually) that show horses and have gotten into driving.

Oh cool. Showing driving to me is just nuts. The one lady I talked to said there were different outfits for different carriages, and everything had to match. gah!
