Sounds beautiful... How I would love to have ridden through that sort of landscape.

We don't have that sort of open country here, but sometimes on the sea cliffs when there's a gale coming in off the Atlantic, it feels like the whole landscape is in wild motion, all the grasses and the bushes shaking. It's exhilarating.

It's cool as long as you're inside. The dirt can get painful. The best thing, though, is being in the barn when it's nasty rainy. The smells and sounds are great. :):)

What the heck is with dogs? Mine will jump into ANY disgusting puddle/naturally pooling water anywhere...but the actual pool FOR THEM is a 'no'??

Yeah, they're weird. Horses totally do that, too. They'll splash in a puddle with glee on their own, but try to walk them through while mounted, oooooh no. lol
