Connie turned the coffeemaker on, then took the cookies out of the oven. Just a regular Sally Homemaker, she thought to herself with a smirk. She wasn't, really, though she wouldn't deny that she loved staying home with the baby so far. Of course it had only been two weeks. Connie didn't know how it would feel a couple of months down the line

Alex approached the door to Connie's apartment with a little smile. She could hear Tommy crying as she reached up to knock. Ellie looked up at Alex with huge eyes, as if to ask what was going on. Alex chuckled and knocked on the door. She was looking forward to meeting Tommy, and, of course, seeing Connie.

Connie answered the door, trying not to look frazzled or unsure of herself. Tommy's normally pale face (much the same hue as his father's) was red from crying and the bit of blonde hair that he had was mussed. Connie was dressed casually, hair pulled back, and she had a bit of flour on her yoga pants (maybe it was baby powder - she hadn't noticed yet).

"Hey, guys!" She smiled and then gave an apologetic look at Tommy, who was waving a hand at her and glaring, even as he whined. "He just woke up."

"Aw. It's okay." Alex smiled, stepping inside. Ellie hesitated at the sight of Tommy, but Alex took her hand and encouraged her inside. "It's okay, he's just half-asleep and fussy."

Alex smiled at Connie. "How are you?" She asked, cautiously.

Connie smiled. "I'm good. He doesn't really fuss all that much." She rocked Tommy, who was starting to settle down, then smoothed his hair. "Blondie, like his dad was as a little boy." She grinned at Ellie as she moved in toward the couch. "Hey, Ellie!"
