RODI VS LUKE ad_libitum_npcs June 22 2011, 01:39:43 UTC

[Rodi looks at the redhead, a happy smile visible on her face.]

So you’re gonna be my opponent today?

[Her tone is teasing.]

Well, good luck~! [She chuckles.] You’re going to need it~♪

[...This is going to be so much fun~]

Yeah, sure looks that way.

[Luke's left hand fingers the hilt of his sword. Hard to tell if it's nervousness or impatience, but he manages to return the smile with a determined grin of his own. Well this'll be interesting. He wants to see what she can really do. Not that he hasn't been looking forward to being here since he first heard about the coliseum.]

[Strategy, strategy... what was is Jade was saying before?]

Guess we'll see about that.

[He gets into position, unsheathing his saber and shifting his weight to the front.] Let's go!

[Well, well. Rodi is looking forward to see how much this guy can do, as well.

She doesn't say anything anymore, her cheerful smile vanishing almost instantly, as she unsheathes her long sword and waits for Luke to get close enough.]

HEALERS' TENT ad_libitum_npcs June 22 2011, 01:40:05 UTC
songstress_tear June 24 2011, 03:44:47 UTC
[The din of the crowd outside the tent had been constant all morning, growing in intensity as more and more of the seats filled and the excitement built. Standing by the entrance to the tent, she could see the field of the arena, where the battling would be taking place. First class seat for bloodshed. Well at least it wouldn't be hard to get both the defeated and the victorious in here to be healed. There wasn't, however, as large a team as she would have expected to be here. It would be as long a day for her as for the Champion.]

[The noise of the crowd changed as an announcer walked out onto the field and announced the first round was about to begin. She smiled. let the games begin.]

[OWWWWWW. Genis wobbles into Tear's tent, barely able to stand as he almost collapses onto the ground. Jeez, he hadn't meant to lose that badly! Even if he did want an easy out of this competition.

Noticing Tear, he can't help giving her a weak smile.] Hey. Mind working some magic on me? [... and he swears it's not a bad pick-up line.]

Poor thing. Hard to beat Jade, isn't it? songstress_tear July 11 2011, 00:29:06 UTC
[Seeing the poor boy wander into the tent, Tear wastes no time. He has barely had time to finish his possible pick-up line before Tear has swept him onto the nearest cot and cast a basic healing spell. She had watched the match and had seen that the Colonel was, as usual, quite merciless. The lad was quite lucky for even being able to walk.]

You held on quite well out there.

VENDORS' STALLS ad_libitum_npcs June 22 2011, 01:40:31 UTC
TYCHE'S ALLIANCE acrobatastic June 22 2011, 01:46:13 UTC
As expected from the merchants' guild, Tyche Alliance doesn't just have a stall but a whole row of merchandise for the gullible savvy customer wanting to purchase something to commemorate their visit to the Coliseum Games! From a perfect wooden replica of each combatant's weapon (yes, even Genis's kendama) to apple gels to Life Bottles to even stuffed Cheagles, they have it all.

Johnny's the one mainly in charge of making sure his underlings don't slack off, but he's there. And fortunately for you guys, he actually looks pretty bored today. Apparently the assistants could handle the work load without him.

Bored of waiting? Feeling a pinch of hunger? Or perhaps just curious about what the stalls got to offer? If one were to walk down the stall a bit and head to the left they'll find modest looking stall labeled "Clothes and Snacks" with a rather large looking wagon next to it.

According to the food menu, they offered two types of pork buns: steamed and baked, Shrimp dumplings, Ham and Corn bun (First day only), Polo bun, and Red Bean ice bar.

For the clothes, it seems she sells replicas of all sizes of the combatants (complete with fake cloth amour) and healer's clothing as well as various amounts of clothing in many colors, shapes and sizes for all age groups that one would usually find her selling back at Blessenwood.

Camille seems rather fired up about selling her wares if not careful the buyer may end up paying for more they intended.~

AUDIENCE / CROWD ad_libitum_npcs June 22 2011, 02:08:20 UTC
If only she had a cheer leading outfit.. puppet_guardian June 28 2011, 14:52:48 UTC
[Anise looked ready to see battles, excited that she got to see so many of her friends fight but seemed a little saddened she didn't get to play herself. It was probably for the better though seeing how Colonel and Genis were one of the participants and they were the two strongest mana users she knew. Perhaps there would be a next time when she felt like she may be able to compete with the strongest people she knew? In the meantime she'll be cheering as loud as she could.]

Stella sat in the stands watching all of the exciting battles here. One in particular, she was hoping to see. It was Senel's match and she just hoped that he wouldn't get too hurt. The Leader was not used to watching fights like this, but she wasn't all that worried. Senel was very strong and she had faith in him winning.

"I'm rooting for you, Senel."
