Who: Lloyd Irving, and YOU.
Where: Blessenwood.
When: Early morning.
Why: He's minus a Colette, oh, and this is not his tree, it's in another castle? Well, regardless, he needs to find out what's happening somehow and standing around seldom accomplishes that.
Open/Closed: Open.
Warnings: It should be fine.

...Just how long was he looking? )

At first Luke thought the complaint might be coming from his own stomach, but it soon became clear that it had been voiced by someone else. Blessenwood was pretty small, and he didn't remember having seen the red-clad swordsman before. Maybe he'd just arrived or maybe he'd joined Ad Libitum while Luke had been off in the desert?

"Hey!" Luke spoke up from where he was standing, not too far from Lloyd. He was carrying a bag of groceries and had spent a good portion of the past two hours training and hunting down reasonable bargains in the marketplace.

"You know there's a cafe in the Cheagle Inn. The food's not too bad, either. ...Well, as long as you don't mind your toast a little burnt, anyway."

Turning in the direction of the shout, Lloyd observed the red-head.

The advice about the food had been most welcome, but how much gald did he have on him? He did recall leaving most of the spending to Regal and therefore had left the man with the largest sum of money out of their group.

"Uh...Thanks!" Lloyd grinned, a bit sheepishly, but it was hard not to return a kindness with another, or at least polite niceness. Right now, He'd eat even some of Raine's cooking, and while that dimmed his roaring stomach somewhat, it failed to silence it totally. Making his way over, Lloyd offered a hand. "It's nice to meet you." He didn't give his name yet, he never gave it first.

"Yeah! No problem," Luke replied. It was still early for him, but Anise's training sessions had been helping. Not only were they boosting his energy, but getting up before lunchtime wasn't as difficult at it had been. Besides, this guy seemed all right; Luke thought he meant well.

Shifting his bag to the opposite arm, Luke reached out to grasp the other swordman's hand firmly. It was kind of weird, though. Usually when people greeted you, they at least told you who they were and maybe where they had come from or what business they were here for. Luke wasn't much for formalities - not really - but this caused him to raise an eyebrow. Okay, then... He'd just ask.

"...Same. Anyway, I'm Luke. Are you new around here?" He couldn't help but be a little curious.

"I'm Lloyd!" He returned the introduction in turn, it was polite after all.

It was a good handshake in Lloyd's opinion. It spoke of morals and honesty, two thing he could easily get behind. "I'm really new here. Where is here, anyway?" Perhaps he should have thought to ask about that before, but oh well.

Even without being fully inducted into Ad Libitum, Colette had taken to walking around the city at least once a day since she'd arrived here, in the case that there were any people like herself, who had arrived here and were confused. Since Tear had done her such a wonderful favor and shown her around, she felt, in a way, that she could give back to such a kind person by being kind herself. And now that she knew the basics, she could help out a bit more ( ... )

Hearing the cry, Lloyd knew the source, and turned. He felt his heart skip a beat, he'd been so worried he'd lost her, and to see her perfectly fine and smiling like that made him break out in a big smile.

Then he saw her start running. He panicked, running towards her as well. She knew better, honestly. Running for everything he was worth, he reached for her, trying to save her from the ground.

As much as Colette was trying to keep her balance, she found it was impossible. As per usual. So she fell. A meeting with the ground seemed imminent ...

... but then she felt a very warm body instead of the cold ground. And somehow, she knew Lloyd had saved her again. The amount of red she saw when she opened her eyes was a big clue, in any case.

Having caught her, somehow. He pulled her close, making sure she was real. Yes, she was, this tender feeling couldn't be duplicated with anything else, real or imagined.

"...You dummy. I worried." Easing her up, Lloyd looked down at her, checking to see if she was alright. Relief, and more concern hovered in his gaze.
