People gave him curious looks, and Nanashi could hardly blame them. Mostly, though, it just reminded him how much he preferred the mountains to the shore. Seafolk sure were inquisitive. Maybe that's why they liked floating around the ocean so much.
Nanashi had to duck into the restaurant to avoid swiping his head on the door frame. Sometimes it sucked, being so tall, and sometimes he especially enjoyed it.
Spotting Johnny, Nanashi strode right over and lowered himself into a vacant seat across from him. "Didn't mean to be so late, but I got a little distracted out there."
With a sideways grin he continued, "I see you waited for me. So what's that dish called?"

Gesturing to the dish, Johnny shrugged, "It's just a crab crepe. You want some?" (Or maybe he should just let Nanashi order something else. That might be the best option!) He took another bite, swallowed, and laughed, "Sorry. You know how hungry I can get."

With a slight wave of the arm, Nanashi managed to coax the waitress back long enough to place an order for himself. Something light.
"No thanks. I'm not really into crab," he added, after she had gone. "But I do know all too well what a bottomless pit you can be. Sometimes." Leaning back in his chair, Nanashi looked very relaxed and at ease, but his eyes had focused sharply on his companion.
"Nothing wrong with that, though, I don't suppose you want to talk about the food all morning. What's on your mind? Anything I can get into? Or maybe you'd like to open up your own restaurant - you'd never go hungry that way."

"My own restaurant wouldn't be bad and you know it," Johnny grinned in-between bites of crepe. Swallowing the next one, he added, "We could name it Johnny's Hideaway and it'd be one of the best places for seafood."
His face grew darker, though, once the crowd began to dissipate. "... Honestly, I'm a little worried. You know, the damage wasn't supposed to be that bad."
