I got so many comments on my last entry, it made me feel very good about my icons :) So here is a new batch- not as big as last one, but hopefully you'll like them. Continuing with VM, because it gets so much better coming to season 1 finale - i love it :) And I just watched PB 2.02 and 2.03 today, and it was awesome. Hence - the icons

your icons looks awesome. I was wondering if you would mind sharing the technique you used in fifteen or twenty?

i'm glad you like them!
in 15 i cropped a square of the picture and resized it so that i was smaller than 100x100, i used dodge tool in ps to lighten the borders and pasted it onto the white background. i used some natural coloring, perhaps only increasing saturation a bit and couple of screen layers and then made midtones more yellow and shadows more cyan/blue. i put lovelamp's texture above and set it to multiply and added text. not very complicated though the explanation may seem that way.
in 20 i only cropped the lower part of eventual icon, i made the upper part of it using smudge tool so that the image is actually 100x100. i then made reds more red and yellow and neutrals more cyan using selective coloring, and lightened the image using curves. there are several tutorials that show this kind of coloring. try looking in icon_tutorial, i'm sure you'll find what you need.
