After being bitten THREE TIMES, I *finally* caught the stupid tarantula last night!!! I still need a couple of the beetles (giant and jewel), one cicada (evening), and that annoying banded dragonfly, but otherwise I am almost caught up with summer bugs! I LOVE the new beetles; they're not too hard to catch, and they're worth a fortune

i think the tarantula is a lot easier to catch than a scorpion.

and, yeah, i made a fortune off those beetles the other night. and i still haven't seen an arapaima or blue marlin. i wonder if the marlin has a fin sticking out?

I *think* I saw the arapaima, but got twitchy. Blue marlins have a pretty predominant dorsal fin IRL, so I'm hoping that the game version does too!

I caught a blue marlin the other night. No fin, just a big fish -- slightly bigger than a sea bass but not very distinguishable from said evil creature.

The BF and I are thinking of having some "I hate sea bass" t-shirts made up.

My bastard husband just caught one. Luckily, HE doesn't have a coelecanth, or he'd be sleeping on the porch!

Rusty is safe so far, because I finally DID catch the arapaima, and he still doesn't have the coelecanth. BUT. If he catches the blue marlin before me, there will be serious marital strife - it's my last fish, except for the August jellyfish and the two September salmons.

You should smack that man and take his fish.

I'm so lazy with my fishing/bug catching I just can't be bothered. I don't think I have HALF of the stuff required. Though I chucked my fishing rod in out of the blue once.. only one time in the past two months and caught a dorado

so that was pretty cool :)
