Missing from the web

Over the last few years I've become accustomed to thinking of the World-Wide Web as a sort of magical font of any kind of information one could imagine. In many areas it's close to that, but it still has some holes, and sometimes it's startling to stumble across them. I found one other reference to your first song, by searching for just "robins sweetly sing", so that makes two. (It was the result right after your lj entry, which google has already indexed.)

Aha, found one more (by searching for '+orioles +robins "leafy branches"', in some random comment in Dave Barry's blog.

What's interesting to me is that link one has "tara lara" and link two has "toora loora," and acw has teera leera.

It is clear that my Google Fu is weak. Oh, well, at least now I know I didn't just imagine the whole thing.

Hi, I too learned this in 1st grade. I am now in my late 50's and the song still haunts me. I have all good memmories around it. I thought it was "from their leafy branches", you have "through".
