DORK DORK DORK DORK DORK

I had a fairly amusing textbook Aspie moment earlier today. Usually I just have "I'm a bit awkward" moments, but in retrospect this gave a good argument for certain theories about my brain being true. At lunch I mentioned being excited to get Michael Korda's Hero for Christmas. My friend's father asked if I had read any other books about ( Read more... )

Could have been asking for books, but probably not authors. :D Yes, that is textbook. (I think of the boy's usual way of describing music, which is song, artist, album and year.) Anyone who doesn't believe that diagnosis (which i still don't get why people don't just trust you) is dumb. Is it weird that I'm sort of excited for you, as if this were some kind of second coming-out?

Maybe it would have been avoided if the question had been phrased differently, but for accuracy's sake, I had to make clear that it was, say, the Malcom Brown edition of Selected Letters. Otherwise there might have been confusion. :P (I totally do song and artist. And know album, but year is one level deeper than I want to research for my entire music collection). Honestly, for a while I've been of the position of "Maybe I do, maybe I don't, I just have these traits." But the more I read the more I fall on the "do" side of things.

It's not weird, just super super nice! :3
