new phone and other things

I'm getting used to my new phone, but it ate a gig of data just this week. No more using Google photos outside of a wifi network. I decided to turn data off unless I need it, and set app updates to wifi only. I'm down to less than one gig because stupid me uploaded a couple photos when I wasn't at home. I also checked my email when not at home

I love the pic you sent me. I just back up photos at home every few weeks. A smaller card helps you not get lazy that way. I don't trust cloud storage or google at all. I refuse to use it. I only go online with my phone if I have to look up a pic, check tracking or in an emergency if power goes out and even my table (which is basically a lap top) can't use wifi. So super rare I use online for my phone. It's for talking, texting and sending photos and holiday greetings. Be ready for your first later today hee hee.

I'm glad you let me know about Earth Fare. I hope mine is still there.

I don't like auto-sync since it backed up three slightly blurry photos I didn't really want to keep. I will be backing up phone photos both on the cloud and on an external drive. I already responded to your text, and I also put a Valentine's Day greeting on your DA page and Chris's. Right now I'm waiting for Mom to get up so we can exchange gifts.

I hope your Earth Fare is still there too. Mine had just been renovated less than a year ago, but it's been there since 2011.
