Not entirely surprising, given the other fauna locally, but def. a reason to keep an eye on the trash.

Yeah. I'd noticed that occasionally our recycle bins appeared picked-through, so I suspected a raccoon or a neighborhood cat was going through it at night.

This particular raccoon seemed well-mannered enough, though, and I've never seen things knocked over; as long as we don't see any damage, it's probably not a big deal.

Raccoons have been known to kill cats, so be careful! An airsoft gun is a big dissuader to raiding your cans or messing with your cats.

Ahh, raccoons have been known to get into houses/apartments through the eaves and then tear through the sheetrock to get to food. Crafty little guys also have opposable thumbs, and can get into anything.
