Every week my BFFs and I watch it hoping things will come together and every week we're just more and more confused. Why did PhiCorp make everyone immortal if they were just going to turn around and burn everybody? Did they want some kind of living ash? Why are people treating what's his name with any sort of reverence? Why hasn't Torchwood released all the documents it stole to Wikileaks? Do they really expect me to believe that people blithely relinquished their custodial and visitation rights over their sick loved ones when these camps were built?

(They built CAMPS? In GERMANY? With OVENS? And nobody went, OH HELL NO? [But, you know, in German.] Do not believe.)

Like I've said elsewhere, the X-Files, when it was really good, made me feel like everything I watched week to week was merely the outward manifestation of some larger, shadowier conspiracy. With Torchwood it feels more like a Series of Unfortunate but Random Events.
