Torchwood Miracle Day (no spoilers)

Just watched the first episode yesterday.  I was bored, tbh.  I thought it had a lot of the bad writing of original Torchwood without the campiness to make it fun.  You can't ask me to take you seriously, show.   I'll be giving it a couple more episodes, I think, just because it's summer and there's not much else to watch.

Well said! There might be an interesting plot in there somewhere but it is being drawn out for far too long and getting lost in discussing these big, deep points about human existence. Not keen on the characterizations either. While, I am so glad Gwen is still appropriately Gwen and a badass, I'm not sure the writer gets Capt Jack at all. There was also this cheap 'you're so gay' joke about a steward in the last episode and that made me wonder if the writer had even even watched the original series.

I watched the second one yesterday. Seriously, what was with the gay steward jokes? I didn't get that at all.

Also, I don't know how long I can stand having gross Oswald on my screen.
